Frozen Mint Julep
This frosty bitch will keep you nice and cool, whether your cheering on your winning pony or cooling out with friends at a BBQ. Keep this one in mind for the spring and summer.
- 4 Mint Leaves
- 3 oz Kentucky bourbon
- 1 oz Lemon Juice Fresh would be best
- 1 oz Simple Syrup Homemade if you got it
- 3 Sprigs Mint
Smack the mint leaves around a bit (this helps the leaves release oils and lets them know who is boss) and add them to an old-fashioned glass
Add bourbon, lemon juice and simple syrup to the mix, lightly muddle and roll your eyes back into your head and say the magic word "confundo"
Toss the ingredients into a blender (I personally use a ninja blender but any blender will do) with a half cup of crushed ice and blend until it looks like a slush puppy
Pour back into that old-fashioned glass and garnish with a couple of mint sprigs and you're ready to rumble
