Okay, so there's a few variations of this drink and every one of them is amazing! First, you have the original Tom Collins, then John Collins, Mike Collins and their bratty but still delicious little sister, Sandy Collins. My prescription to you is to try them all.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Bourbon
  • 1 oz Lemon Juice If you care about yourself at all, choose fresh. Always fresh.
  • .5 oz Simple Syrup Avoid complicated syrups
  • 5 oz Club Soda
  • 1 slice Lemon
  • 1 slice Orange
  • 1 whole Maraschino Cherry

Instructions

  1. Fill a shaker full of ice

  2. Add your liquid ingredients, the bourbon, lemon juice, and simple syrup

  3. Shake it over your head while screeching "don't look at me"

  4. Strain into an ice-filled collins glass and top with some chilled club soda

  5. Garnish with the fruit and BAM you're back to sippin

Japanese Fizz

This drink is pretty versitile when it comes to presentation, you can add egg whites to the mix and have a foamy top or leave them out to have a clean and neat glass of booze. When making with egg whites you're going to leave out the garnish FYI

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Blended Whiskey
  • .5 oz Ruby Port
  • 10 ml Lemon Juice Fresh would be best
  • 4 oz Club Soda
  • 1 wedge Pineapple
  • 1 slice orange

Instructions

  1. Fill a shaker with ice

  2. Toss in your blended whiskey and Ruby Port

  3. Add sugar

  4. Shake vigorously until you feel it's sorry for what it's done

  5. Double strain the mixture into a chilled collins glass and fill with ice

  6. Top this all off with club soda and give it a subtle stir then garnish with fruit and whisper to yourself "you've outdone yourself again, ace"

Irish Shillelagh

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Irish Whiskey
  • .5 oz Light Rum
  • .5 oz Sloe Gin
  • 1 oz Lemon Juice Fresh if you got it
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 slice Peach
  • 1 slice Orange
  • 2 whole Raspberries
  • 1 whole Maraschino Cherry

Instructions

  1. Fill a shaker with ice

  2. Add all of the liquid ingredients to the shaker and shake the piss out of it

  3. Strain into an ice-filled old-fashioned glass and garnish with those silly old pieces of fruit

Iced Irish Coffee

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Irish Whiskey
  • 1 tsp Brown Sugar
  • 4 oz Cold Coffee
  • 1.5 oz Heavy Cream

Instructions

  1. Grab a chilled old-fashioned glass

  2. Pour in Irish whiskey and brown sugar 

  3. Stir the ingredients until the sugar has dissolved

  4. Pack that baby full of ice

  5. Add the coffee

  6. Add the cream and give a smooth and subtle stir

Horse’s Neck Cocktail

Horse's Neck

So before you get all bent out of shape that we are building this drink with bourbon instead of blended whiskey, I just want you to relax. The Horse's Neck cocktail has been built with every whiskey under the sun and this variation of the drink happens to be my favorite. I suggest you use whatever whiskey blows your hair back. Cheers!

  • 2.5 oz Bourbon or any whiskey that gets your mouth wet
  • 4 oz Ginger Ale

Instructions

  1. First, you're going to make a lemon peel spiral. That's where you make a lemon strip into one of those sweet little curly Q type of things

  2. Fill a chilled highball glass with ice

  3. Add whiskey while letting out a Ric Flair WOOOOOOO!

  4. Top that mother off with ginger ale and prepare to have your socks blown clean off!

  2. Add ingredients to the shaker starting with the bourbon and ending with the lemon juice, shake like a polaroid picture and strain into a chilled/really laid back martini glass and garnish with a lemon wheel

Fine and Dandy is another one of those classic vintage cocktails that you'll find many (at least 3) variations of. This variation of the Fine and Dandy happens to be the oldest and more classicly used of the three.

  • 2 oz Canadian Blended Whiskey
  • .5 oz Cointreau
  • .5 oz Dubonnet Rouge
  • 1 twist lemon

Instructions

  1. Add ice to a mixing glass

  2. Add Canadian blended whiskey

  3. Add Cointreau, that sweet nectar of the god's.

  4. Add Dubonnet Rouge

  5. Twist a lemon peel, expressing the oils into a chilled cocktail glass and rub peel around the rim of the glass

  6. Strain ingredients into the chilled glass and drop in the lemon twist

Derby Cocktail

There's a gin, bourbon, brandy and blended whiskey version of this drink and the only thing that changes across the board is the base spirit. Three versions of a vintage classic? Count me in!

  • .5 oz Cointreau
  • .5 oz Lime Juice For god sakes make it fresh

  1. Pack a shaker with ice until it's absolutely brimming with the diamond-like glint of solid-liquid

  2. Add blended whiskey

  3. Add sweet vermouth

  4. Add Cointreau

  5. Add the freshest god damn lime juice you can find

  6. Shake the shaker until your biceps are bulging and strain into an old-fashioned glass and add ice

Dleta Cocktail

"D" is for Delta. This drink has a really deep flavor profile combining the signature taste of Southern Comfort and a nice citrus kick followed by the sweetness of sugar. An amazing flavor profile!

  • .5 oz Lime Juice Fresh, obviously.
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 slice orange
  • 1 slice peach

  1. Fill shaker full of ice

  2. Add blended whiskey

  3. Add Southern Comfort

  4. Add lime juice (fresh if you have it)

  5. Add sugar

  6. Shake, shake and shake some more

  7. Strain into an ice-filled old-fashioned glass and garnish with the two slices of peach and orange.
