New Yorker

The New Yorker Cocktail can be made with rye or bourbon whiskey but for this occasion, we will focus on the bourbon.

  • 1.5 oz Bourbon Or rye depending on your prefference
  • .75 oz Lime Juice Go fresh or go home
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 dash Grenadine Homemade if you have it
  • 1 twist Lemon peel
  • 1 twist Orange peel


  1. Fill a mixing glass with ice

  2. Add bourbon or rye whiskey depending on your preference

  3. Add lime juice (fresh would be best)

  4. Add sugar

  5. Add grenadine or homemade grenadine if you have it

  6. Stir the contents of the mixing glass until the outside of the glass is as cold as a well-diggers ass and strain into an old-fashioned glass

  7. Twist the lemon and orange peels over the glass to express their oils, rub the peels around the rim of the glass and drop them into the drink
